Website 2013 Status
This website project was activated on-line in 2008 and has been a contribution to the social fabric of Heritage Village, free of charge to all residents, sponsored by the web author and founder. Thousands of visitors, world-wide have learned about us, our history and the joys of an adult lifestyle community that has set the national standard since 1987. It was fun to build - until 2012.
Unfortunately, updates ceased after February, 2012 when a catastrophic medical diagnosis hit the family of the webmaster. Residents who log on will find nothing behind the security wall, that isn't already available to the public at large. The content is dated now, and of historic interest only. Authorizing new web visitors is not longer monitored.
The dream of having a fully interactive website for villagers to communicate on-line and post their works of art and creativity to the world or behind closed web doors is on hold. Likewise our real estate portal, forums, blogs and other ideas have been shelved for now. It was an ambitious dream that no other retirement community had ever achieved. It needed a dedicated club of website enthusiasts: perhaps the new generation of residents will bring new skills and passion.
The site's long-term future is now not certain. Technology is moving fast, so a re-build is necessary to a newer website platform. This requires a team of volunteers. When fully implemented, the site can pay for itself and raise club funds.
